OYEN LODGE NEWS: April has gone so fast

BY DIANNE SPATH

Hello Everyone. It's hard to believe April has gone so fast. The weather has been wonderful. The residents are enjoying their walks and the sunshine. A lot of action at the Lodge this week. The construction ground work has started for our SL4 and SL4D Building. Monday there were exercises and scrabble games in the morning. In the afternoon was card bingo and Taylor Neilson was here to play piano. She is a very talented young lady. Tuesday was the regular bus runs downtown, and Personal Touch Clothing and Avon were here for the day. Our mini bake sale was a success. I would like to thank the residents that helped, plus to everyone that purchased the goodies. In the evening, the Breaking Ground Dancers performed. The girls are absolutely amazing to watch. This is the end of their season and we can't wait to see them next season. Wednesday was Church with Pastor Brad, followed by excercises and then shuffleboard in the afternoon. Thursday there were exercises, followed by crossword in the morning. Crossword was a lot fun and the residents enjoyed the game. In the afternoon we had ice cream parlor; and the residents do love their ice cream. On Friday the week ended with horse races in the morning and in the afternoon was bingo. The Jorgenson's played music in the evening. Have a wonderful week.
